OUMSSA

Hello Freshers!

Welcome to Oxford!

First of all, congratulations for getting a place at Oxford! We are sure you will have a wonderful time at Oxford and build friendships that will last you a lifetime. OUMSSA events are organised to bring together Singaporean and Malaysian students at the University and enjoy that little bit of home that we miss. The real OUMSSA, however, is in the room of every member, in the archaic kitchens of our Colleges and the hours spent lazing on the lawns and laughing with friends on a punt. We look forward to being a home away from home for you while you are in Oxford.

the FrEshers' GUIDEs

Stay tuned for a really detailed breakdown of what to expect in Oxford and help with practical matters like visa applications, bank accounts and more!

How do we help you settle in?

1. OUMSSA Families (Signups coming soon!)
If you sign up, we'll assign you OUMSSA "parents" who will be your mentors throughout your Oxford experience - you can ask them anything about work, settling in or things to do in Oxford. You'll also have OUMSSA siblings, and combined, your family will be a support network as you settle in! Many families continue to meet up regularly for meals and catch-ups long after matriculation is over.

2. Freshers' Events
Every summer, we organise a Freshers' Tea, where you'll have the chance to meet fellow freshers and seniors for the first time. We also organise a 3D2N chalet for undergraduates in August, and a graduates' dinner.

3. Facebook Group
We've set up a Facebook group for all incoming freshers, so updates on events and settling in can be disseminated with ease!  If you're matriculating in 2019, please join our Facebook Group!

In the meantime, If you have any questions, you can contact us through one of the following channels:
